The collection contains record books, account books, registers, reports, letter books, minutes, a ledger, a scrapbook, a checkbook, and miscellaneous papers of Worcester Academy, and some of its departments, for the years ca. 1832 to ca. 1967. The majority of the collection falls within the tenure of the Academy's seventeenth principal Daniel Webster Abercrombie (1853-1932), principal from 1882 to 1918, and includes his personal letter book for the year 1907 and a scrapbook kept by him for the years 1889 to 1892. Also included in the collection are volumes one through nineteen (1911-1931) of the Worcester Academy Bulletin, as well as a copy of Cloyd E. Small's Supplement to Achieving the Honorable Worcester Academy 1834-1978 the Years 1978-1983 (Worcester, Mass.: Worcester Academy, c1984).
